General Manager of Bizerba company has had a chance to get a Vectary onboarding and try it out. Here is his first hand feedback as Bizerba is considering using Vectary to leverage 3D and AR capabilities for various situations.
Let's discuss each scenario and your feedback on how Vectary addresses some of your pain points:

1. Importing CAD models for access across departments

Vectary: Bizerba aims to enhance collaboration by allowing more departments to access designs through CAD models. How has Vectary helped address this need, and why would you choose their platform for this purpose?

Bizerba: Trying out Vectary, and learning how to work with it, without having 3D design experience, was actually a lot less difficult than I though it would be. Plus, I simply do not have the time to dedicate myself to learning a new software apart from a couple of hours a week. Let’s jump right into it. Vectary has been an excellent solution for importing CAD models and providing access to designs across departments.

It has a user-friendly interface that allows even non-technical employees to interact with and explore the 3D models. This accessibility would encourage collaboration among departments that traditionally relied solely on 2D designs, since very few of us have access to CAD software. It would bridge the gap between design, engineering, and other departments, for better communication and understanding of the product.

2. Showing updates and fixes to development

Vectary: Keeping everyone informed about updates and fixes is crucial. How would Vectary help you in this aspect, and what advantages does the platform bring to the table?

Bizerba: One of the key benefits I found with Vectary is its ease of use and accessibility. Since it is a cloud-based platform, our teams could access and work with 3D models from anywhere, using any device with an internet connection. This would eliminates the need for specialized software or hardware, and make it more inclusive for various remote teams. Plus, being able to annotate specific areas, add comments, and provide contextual feedback directly within the 3D model itself is really an important feature, or advantage, if you want to say it that way.

I am always looking for ways that save us valuable time by eliminating lengthy email chains or physical meetings to explain design changes. The visual nature of Vectary would allow us to communicate what needs to be updated, leading to faster and more accurate iterations.

The final point I want to make is about the version history. This is really a must for most software, so it is great to see that it is also available in Vectary. This really makes it easy to track the progress of a project and refer back to earlier versions if necessary. This level of transparency ensures that all stakeholders are aware of the latest updates and can make informed decisions.

3. Using interactions, animations and AR for customer explanation and B2B buyers at tradeshows

Vectary: The ability to use interactions, animations and AR to explain functionality to customers, including B2B buyers at tradeshows, can be a game-changer. What advantages do you see in this context?

Bizerba: Vectary would definitely bring something new to the table in the way we present our products to both direct customers and B2B buyers at tradeshows. We could create interactive and animated visualizations of our products' functionality. Show how it works, or even how it is set up. It is a great way to go beyond only static images or physical samples.

The use of Augmented Reality (AR) whether in the concept stage or final presentation, would be a relatively new territory for Bizerba. However, considering the direction that most product developers are moving towards, we recognize that it will be essential for us to embrace this technology. Customers nowadays have become more tech-savvy and expect advanced functionality from sellers.

By using AR capabilities that Vectary has, we could provide an immersive and interactive experience that truly showcases the value and features of our products. It would enhances customer engagement and gives us a competitive edge in the market. Incorporating AR into business processes will become the norm, and Vectary would help us pave the way for this exciting future - and get there faster.

“I am excited about the possibilities this platform offers and look forward to further exploring its potential for our business. Thank you for the onboarding, and I appreciate the opportunity to share our feedback.”
